As a Sales Assistant with Southern Downs 4x4, you will help retail and trade customers select products suited to their vehicles, intended use and budget. You will handle enquiries in person, over the phone and by email while building positive relationships with new and existing customers. The role will involve promoting ARB and other stocked product ranges, preparing quotations and sales orders, processing payments, following up outstanding quotations and identifying appropriate complementary products.
You will develop strong working knowledge across bull bars, suspension systems, canopies, roof racks, recovery equipment and touring accessories, allowing you to provide customers with informed and practical advice. You will also assist with maintaining showroom displays, replenishing stock, receiving and checking deliveries, completing stocktakes and handling general sales administration. Working closely with the Store Manager, workshop team, accessory fitters and administration staff, you will help provide a smooth and professional customer experience.
You will need excellent customer service and communication skills, professional presentation and the ability to remain organised in a busy retail environment. Strong computer literacy, attention to detail, reliability and a current Australian driver’s licence are essential, together with a positive attitude and a willingness to develop your product knowledge.
Previous experience in automotive, 4WD or retail sales would be highly regarded, along with knowledge of ARB products, experience preparing quotations or familiarity with AM-WIN or another dealership management system. You do not need to know every product from day one, but you must be comfortable learning technical product information and committed to finding the right solution for each customer.
Southern Downs 4x4 is offering an hourly rate of $28–$33, dependent on experience. The position works Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with no Saturday work currently required.
